If the floor was installed properly there is an expansion gap around the perimeter than can absorb some of the movement but if the gap isn t there or if the baseboards are nailed to the floor instead of the wall the floor can t expand and swollen edges have no place to go but up.
Because fiberboard swells when it gets wet a wet laminate board pushes against the one next to it.
Moisture may cause wood floors to crown but more often the cause is sanding a previously cupped floor to correct the problem before it had time to dry and straighten out naturally.
To do this remove the baseboard or quarter round and then take the flooring apart one row at a time until you reach the swollen section of flooring.

In order to restore your curled hardwood floor you re going to have to sand down the edges with floor sanding equipment and the process can remove as much as 1 4 inch.
Around my shower and i tried this just make sure to take a small brush and get any crumbs our from under the lamanted floor first then i used caulk at the edges to seal it that was 4 years ago and its still holding so good luck and let me know how it works for you use.
